Background: Although the information on the validation status of electronic sphygmomanometer (ES) devices in use in health care institutions and households is much more clinically relevant than that of ES models available on the market, it remains insufficient.
Methods: A national survey was conducted across all administrative regions of mainland China to assess the validation status of ESs. Fifty-eight cities were selected with stratification by municipality, provincial capital, and other cities, and health care institutions and households in each city were chosen by convenience to identify ES devices in use according to the study protocol.
CD8 T cells exhibit remarkable phenotypic diversity in inflammation and cancer. However, a comprehensive understanding of their clonal landscape and dynamics remains elusive. Here we introduce scAtlasVAE, a deep-learning-based model for the integration of large-scale single-cell RNA sequencing data and cross-atlas comparisons.

Our proposed filter is based on a long-period waveguide grating (LPWG) formed on a lithium niobate on insulator (LNOI) rib waveguide with a channel-shaped polymer cladding waveguide. The LPWG formed on the surface of the LNOI core enables efficient mode coupling between the two fundamental modes of the LNOI waveguide and the polymer cladding waveguide and hence dual-function filtering.

However, the impact of HRD and related therapies on the tumor microenvironment (TME) remains elusive. Our study generates single-cell gene expression and T cell receptor profiles, along with validatory multimodal datasets from >100 high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) samples, primarily from a phase II clinical trial (NCT04507841).

It is critical to develop broad-spectrum prophylactic and therapeutic antibodies for potential future pandemics. Here, we used the phage display method to discover nanobodies (Nbs) for neutralizing SARS-CoV-2 viruses especially Omicron strains.

These behaviors are recorded in the form of response curves, with stress-strain curves describing their quasi-static footprint. However, existing inverse design approaches are yet matured to capture the full desired behaviors due to challenges stemmed from multiple design objectives, nonlinear behavior, and process-dependent manufacturing errors.

Our study aimed to develop and validate an interpretable artificial intelligence-based invasion depth prediction system (AI-IDPS) for ESCC.
Methods: We reviewed the PubMed for eligible studies and collected potential visual feature indices associated with invasion depth.
Background And Objectives: Based on the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors (GBD) study, neurologic disorders are a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. However, there has been no comprehensive assessment of neurologic disorders in Asia. Data from the GBD 1990-2019 study were investigated to provide new details for neurologic disorders in Asia.

We developed an efficient workflow named urine tumor DNA multidimensional bioinformatic predictor (utLIFE). Using UC-specific mutations and large copy number variations, the utLIFE-UC model was developed on a bladder cancer cohort (n = 150) and validated in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) bladder cancer cohort (n = 674) and an upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) cohort (n = 22).

Methods: Patients received UPA 45 mg once daily or placebo as induction treatment for 8 weeks. Patients who achieved clinical response were rerandomized to receive once daily UPA 15 mg, 30 mg, or placebo as maintenance treatment for 52 weeks.
Introduction: Although the 9-minute mean withdrawal time (m-WT) is often reported to be associated with the optimal adenoma detection rate (ADR), no randomized trials of screening colonoscopy have confirmed the impact of a 9-minute m-WT on adenoma miss rate (AMR) and ADR.
Methods: A multicenter tandem trial was conducted in 11 centers. Seven hundred thirty-three asymptomatic participants were randomized to receive segmental tandem screening colonoscopy with a 9-minute withdrawal, followed by a 6-minute withdrawal (9-minute-first group, 9MF, n = 366) or vice versa (6-minute-first group, 6MF, n = 367).
The first study of the angular distribution of μ^{+}μ^{-} pairs produced in the forward rapidity region via the Drell-Yan reaction pp→γ^{*}/Z+X→ℓ^{+}ℓ^{-}+X is presented, using data collected with the LHCb detector at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.1 fb^{-1}. The coefficients of the five leading terms in the angular distribution are determined as a function of the dimuon transverse momentum and rapidity.

Cardiovascular diseases are the most common cause of death globally. Accurately modeling cardiac homeostasis, dysfunction, and drug response lies at the heart of cardiac research. Adult human primary cardiomyocytes (hPCMs) are a promising cellular model, but unstable isolation efficiency and quality, rapid cell death in culture, and unknown response to cryopreservation prevent them from becoming a reliable and flexible in vitro cardiac model.

Dedicated frameworks enabling fair benchmarking in a unified environment are yet to be developed. Here, we introduce Codabench, a meta-benchmark platform that is open sourced and community driven for benchmarking algorithms or software agents versus datasets or tasks.

Here, we report a monoclonal antibody (mAb), MW05, with SARS-CoV-2 neutralizing activity by disrupting the interaction of receptor binding domain (RBD) with angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) receptor. Crosslinking of Fc with FcγRIIB mediates antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE) activity by MW05.

Small RNA-mediated RNA silencing is an important antiviral mechanism in higher plants. It has been shown that RNA silencing components can be upregulated by viral infection. However, the mechanisms underlying the upregulation remain largely unknown.

Current karyotyping does not have the resolution to determine whether the breakpoints of the involved chromosomes perturb genes important for fertility. The aim of this study was to apply single-molecule optical mapping (SMOM) to patients presenting for IVF (in vitro fertilization) to ascertain whether the BRT disrupted any genes associated with normal fertility.

The superconducting pairing in Sr_{2}RuO_{4} is widely considered to be chiral p wave with d[over →]_{k}∼(k_{x}+ik_{y})z[over ^], which belongs to the E_{u} representation of the crystalline D_{4h} group. However, this superconducting order appears hard to reconcile with a number of key experiments. In this Letter, based on symmetry analysis we discuss the possibility of odd-parity pairing with inherent three-dimensional character enforced by the interorbital interlayer coupling and the sizable spin-orbit coupling in the material.

JT interval is the component of the QT interval that reflects ventricular repolarization alone. Prolonged QT interval has been linked to higher risk of sudden cardiac arrest.

Genome-wide association studies have identified more than a dozen common genetic loci that are associated with PR interval. However, it is unclear whether rare and low-frequency variants also contribute to PR interval heritability.
