Rationale And Objectives: The correlation between collateral circulation and futile recanalization (FR) is still controversial, and few studies have explored the influence of comprehensive cerebral collateral circulation on FR after endovascular stroke treatment. Therefore, based on cerebral collateral recycle (CCR) status, we aimed to establish an effective scoring system to identify the probability of FR.
Methods: This was a multicenter retrospective cohort study.
Homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) is prevalent in cancer, sensitizing tumor cells to poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibition. However, the impact of HRD and related therapies on the tumor microenvironment (TME) remains elusive. Our study generates single-cell gene expression and T cell receptor profiles, along with validatory multimodal datasets from >100 high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) samples, primarily from a phase II clinical trial (NCT04507841).

Methods: Four hundred forty-eight Pb workers were enrolled in this repeated-measure study. Blood Pb, SBP, and DBP were measured in 2015 to 2017.

Introduction: Persistent villous atrophy (VA) is not uncommon in celiac disease (CeD) while patients take a gluten-free diet (GFD).
Methods: We conducted a retrospective study with 122 serum samples collected from controls and patients with CeD either at the initial diagnosis or at the follow-up during endoscopy. These samples were assigned to 3 groups: nonceliac control, non-VA CeD (Marsh score 0-2), and VA CeD (Marsh score 3a-3c).
Resistance to epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibitors, from the first-generation erlotinib to the third generation osimertinib, is a clinical challenge in the treatment of patients with EGFR-mutant lung adenocarcinoma. Our previous work found that a novel allosteric inhibitor of phosphoglycerate mutase 1 (PGAM1), HKB99, restrains erlotinib resistance in lung adenocarcinoma cells. However, the role of HKB99 in osimertinib resistance and its underlying molecular mechanism remains to be elucidated.

The ultimate approach to end the pandemic is the timely application of vaccines to achieve herd immunity. Here, a novel SARS-CoV-2 receptor-binding domain (RBD) homodimer was developed as a SARS-CoV-2 vaccine candidate.

Thus, developing effective drugs remains urgent. We identify two potent antibodies, nCoVmab1 and nCoVmab2, targeting the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein receptor-binding domain (RBD) with high affinities from a naïve human phage-displayed Fab library.

Whether actin dynamics are involved in structural and functional synaptic plasticity within the primary visual cortex (V1) or behavioral visual acuity in rats has still not been thoroughly investigated.
Methods: Synaptosome preparation and western blot analysis were used to analyze synaptosomal actin dynamics.
Introduction: Gastrointestinal endoscopic quality is operator-dependent. To ensure the endoscopy quality, we constructed an endoscopic audit and feedback system named Endo.Adm and evaluated its effect in a form of pretest and posttest trial.

Here, two MAbs, 2H12 and 8F12, raised against EV-D68 virus-like particle (VLP), show distinct preference in binding VLP and virion and in neutralizing different EV-D68 strains. A combination of 2H12 and 8F12 exhibits balanced and potent neutralization effects and confers broader protection in mice than single MAbs when given at onset of symptoms.

Objective: To study the factors associated with relapse and functional outcomes in patients with anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis in Western China.
Methods: The Outcome of the anti-NMDA receptor Encephalitis Study in Western China was initiated in October 2011 to collect prospective observational data from consecutively enrolled patients with anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis.
Results: We consecutively enrolled 244 patients (median age: 26 years, range: 9-78 years; females: 128 [52.
Introduction: Compared with endoscopic variceal ligation (EVL), cap-assisted endoscopic sclerotherapy (CAES) improves efficacy in the treatment of small esophageal varices (EVs) but has not been evaluated in the management of medium EVs. The aim of this study was to compare CAES with EVL in the long-term management of patients exhibiting cirrhosis with medium EVs and a history of esophageal variceal bleeding (EVB), with respect to variceal eradication and recurrence, adverse events, rebleeding, and survival.
Methods: Cirrhotic patients with medium EVs and a history of EVB were divided randomly into EVL and CAES groups.
Keratin is widely recognized as a high-quality renewable protein resource for biomedical applications. Despite their extensive existence, keratin resources such as feathers, wool, and hair exhibit high stability and mechanical properties because of their high disulfide bond content. Consequently, keratin extraction is challenging and its application is greatly hindered.

We aimed to evaluate whether genotype-guided warfarin dosing is superior to routine clinical dosing for the outcomes of interest in Chinese patients.
Methods: We conducted a multicenter, randomized, single-blind, parallel-controlled trial from September 2014 to April 2017 in 15 hospitals in China.
Catecholamines stimulate the first step of lipolysis by PKA-dependent release of the lipid droplet-associated protein ABHD5 from perilipin to co-activate the lipase ATGL. Here, we unmask a yet unrecognized proteolytic and cardioprotective function of ABHD5. ABHD5 acts and as a serine protease cleaving HDAC4.

Isoliquiritigenin (ISL) is an important constituent of licorice and possesses multiple bioactivities. In this study, we examined the selective anti-AML (acute myeloid leukemia) property of ISL via targeting FMS-like tyrosine kinase-3 (FLT3), a certified valid target for treating AML.

However, the physiologic function of KIF5B in adipose tissue remains to be determined. In this study, adipose-specific knockout (F-K5bKO) mice were generated using the Cre-LoxP strategy.
