Diamond is an exceptional material with great potential across various fields owing to its interesting properties. However, despite extensive efforts over the past decades, producing large quantities of desired ultrathin diamond membranes for widespread use remains challenging. Here we demonstrate that edge-exposed exfoliation using sticky tape is a simple, scalable and reliable method for producing ultrathin and transferable polycrystalline diamond membranes.

Materials And Methods: Two Fed-DL datasets were retrospectively collected (from November 2020 to December 2021): one dataset of liver tumor CT images (Federated Imaging in Liver Tumor Segmentation [or, FILTS]; three sites, 692 scans) and one publicly available dataset of brain tumor MR images (Federated Tumor Segmentation [or, FeTS]; 23 sites, 1251 scans). Scans from both datasets were grouped according to site, tumor type, tumor size, dataset size, and tumor intensity.
Background: The effects of the glycoprotein IIb/IIIa receptor inhibitor tirofiban in patients with acute ischemic stroke but who have no evidence of complete occlusion of large or medium-sized vessels have not been extensively studied.
Methods: In a multicenter trial in China, we enrolled patients with ischemic stroke without occlusion of large or medium-sized vessels and with a National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score of 5 or more and at least one moderately to severely weak limb. Eligible patients had any of four clinical presentations: ineligible for thrombolysis or thrombectomy and within 24 hours after the patient was last known to be well; progression of stroke symptoms 24 to 96 hours after onset; early neurologic deterioration after thrombolysis; or thrombolysis with no improvement at 4 to 24 hours.

Background: Thoracic aortic aneurysm and dissection (TAAD) is a highly lethal vascular disease without effective drug therapy. Whether elevated serum concentrations of uric acid are involved in TAAD development remains unclear.
Methods: Serum uric acid levels were detected in different TAAD mouse models and patients.
The emergence of new immune-evasive severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) variants and subvariants outpaces the development of vaccines specific against the dominant circulating strains. In terms of the only accepted immune correlate of protection, the inactivated whole-virion vaccine using wild-type SARS-CoV-2 spike induces a much lower serum neutralizing antibody titre against the Omicron subvariants. Since the inactivated vaccine given intramuscularly is one of the most commonly used coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines in developing regions, we tested the hypothesis that intranasal boosting after intramuscular priming would provide a broader level of protection.

In this study we modeled disease phenotypes of A-band TTNtv-induced DCM in human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes (hiPSC-CMs) using genome editing and tissue engineering technologies. Transcriptomic, cellular, and micro-tissue studies revealed that A-band TTNtv hiPSC-CMs exhibit pathogenic proteinopathy, sarcomere defects, aberrant Na channel activities, and contractile dysfunction.
