[Maternal morbidity and mortality in extra-genital pathology].

The authors analyze the incidence and structure of acute and chronic visceral diseases in pregnant women and the incidence and structure of maternal death because of extragenital diseases. Causes of maternal mortality are discussed and approaches to reducing maternal morbidity and mortality in visceral diseases outlined.

[Parturient and puerperal mortality in preterm labor].

The peculiarities of mortality patterns in preterm labour are overviewed, including early and late, induced and spontaneous labour. The revealed drawbacks in the management of future mothers, both in counseling centers and maternity clinics, are discussed.
