Background And Aims: Sex hormones and sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) have been confirmed to involve in the pathophysiology of functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs), including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and functional dyspepsia (FD). However, causal associations have not yet been investigated. Utilizing data from Genome-wide association studies, we conducted bidirectional two-sample mendelian randomization (MR) analyses to assess the causal relationships between sex hormones, SHBG and FGIDs.

Here, we present a binary transgenic CRISPR/Cas9 system to generate wingless strain with the potential to address this issue. We identified gonad-specific promoters in vivo and evaluated use of the two strongest promoters, nanos and exuperantia, to drive Cas9 expression.

DNA nanotechnology has created a wide variety of nanostructures that provide a reliable platform for nanofabrication and DNA computing. However, constructing programmable finite arrays that allow for easy pre-functionalization remains challenge. We aim to create more standardized and controllable DNA origami components, which could be assembled into finite-scale and more diverse superstructures driven by instruction sets.

Clinical value of fractional flow reserve in coronary heart disease: A retrospective study.

This study investigated the clinical value of coronary arteriography (CAG) combined with fractional flow reserve (FFR) in the treatment of coronary heart disease (CHD) with coronary artery stenosis exceeding 70%. A retrospective analysis was conducted on 344 patients with CHD treated at the Gansu Institute of Cardiovascular Science from January 2020 to May 2022. The patients were divided into the CAG group (n = 138) and the CAG + FFR group (n = 206).

Factors influencing pregnant women's intention toward bed-sharing with infant in China: a cross-sectional study.

Bed-sharing can have a negative impact on infant sleep safety. In order to reduce the occurrence of bed-sharing with infants, it's necessary to shift the research lens from newborn parents to the antenatal stage before infant birth. Our study aimed to assess the attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and intentions of pregnant women about bed-sharing based on the theory of planned behavior (TPB).
