Context: The fact that the concept of quality in health care services has come to the fore and that evidence-based practices have become widespread made such concepts as patient satisfaction and comfort important and priority parameters in determining the quality of health services.
Objectives: The aim of the study is to determine the effects of using lavender oil in intramuscular injection on injection pain, comfort level, blood pressure, pulse rate and respiratory rate.
Methods: The study was designed as a prospective, single-blind randomized controlled trial.
Background: For patients receiving chemotherapy, various oral care therapies are used to treat oral mucositis, but the use of black mulberry extract as an effective treatment has not been widely studied.
.
Objectives: This study examined whether black mulberry extract is an effective treatment for oral mucositis, dry mouth, and weight gain compared to sodium bicarbonate in patients with cancer.
Correction for 'Effects of droplet size and surfactants on anchoring in liquid crystal nanodroplets' by Zeynep Sumer et al., Soft Matter, 2019, 15, 3914-3922, DOI: .
View Article and Find Full Text PDFLiquid crystal (LC) droplets have been investigated for a wide range of applications, from displays to sensors. Over the years, a need has arisen for complete understanding of the behaviour of LCs in droplets under different conditions for the development of advanced devices, for which accurate modelling is necessary. We show here, for the first time, both qualitative and quantitative agreement between coarse-grained molecular models and Q-tensor theory calculations for liquid crystal (LC) droplets.
