Unlabelled: Orbital cholesteatomas and fibromyxomas are relatively rare, but in echographic tissue differentiation both should be taken into consideration to avoid misdiagnosis. An orbital cholesteatoma may be mistaken for a hemangioma or a mixed tumor. Orbital cholesteatomas are distinguished by the following characteristics; high reflectivity, usually typical subperiostal location, wall or bone spikes, incompressibilty and immobility.
