In this study, we discuss the removal of fluoride from water through column adsorption methods using Al(OH)@AC as a functional granular activated carbon. The height of the bed, fluoride concentration, and flow rate are the experimental factors used to obtain the breakthrough curves. As the flow rate increased, the breakthrough and saturation times decreased.

Anaerobic digestion (AD) or methanization is a biological process that allows the treatment of organic wastes and the production of renewable energy as biogas. This research describes assessment and optimization of dates pedicels rich in organic components under the conditions of mesophiles in co-digestion in association with the cattle manure and sludge of the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). To realize this objectives, we investigated the impact of substrate load (date pedicel) on the co-digestion anaerobic of date pedicels and the sludge in wastewater treatment plants.

Unlabelled: The removal efficiency of the pharmaceutical drug Mebeverine Hydrochloride (MEB) from solutions by an activated carbon (AC) prepared from dates stems was investigated in the present research work. The surface properties of the activated carbon were investigated by elementary analysis, BET surface area, SEM, FTIR and pH. The operating parameters effect on the MEB adsorption efficiency was investigated by using batch experiments.

Four different catalysts from drinking water treatment residuals (DWTR) were prepared via impregnation in the iron nitrate, calcined at different temperatures ranged from 200°C to 500°C, and tested for the reactive blue 19 oxidation using the heterogeneous photo-Fenton, under UVA light source. XRD and XPS results revealed that iron nature was found under a ferric oxide form (Fe ) similar to the magnetite. Calcination temperature results showed a significant effect on the activity of the catalysts.
