Salts of new 1-phenoxyethylpiperazines 1-5, their 4-amidine derivatives 6-10 and 4-phenoxyacetyl derivatives 11-15 have been obtained. Some of them were screened for their cardiovascular activity.

Twenty four derivatives of N-(phenoxyacetyl)-p-aminophenoxyacetic acid have been obtained. The tests of the in vitro inhibition of prostaglandin synthetase revealed that compounds 19 and 24 have the activity similar to that of Naproxen.

We propose to use in vitro tests for the design of antiinflammatory drugs. These tests are inhibition of prostaglandin synthetase and binding to albumin. The antienzymic potency of a compound is a good indicator of its local antiinflammatory activity.
