The authors present their results with treatment of patients with vascular graft infection. Based on a group of patients treated in 1991 to 2000 they make the reader familiar with treatment used at their department, they mention some contemporary therapeutic procedures and their possible advantages and disadvantages. They summarize hitherto assembled theoretical and practical findings on this important problem of vascular surgery, emphasize the importance of early diagnosis, an active radical approach and subsequent long-term dispensarization of patients.

The authors present an account on their experience with the treatment of false aneurysms of the femoral artery in their department. They mention the most frequent causes of development of false aneurysms in general and demonstrate on a group of patients the necessity of early surgical intervention in different patients. They emphasize the serious character of mycotic aneurysms associated with a high morbidity and mortality rate.
