Background: Allo-HSCT is a curative therapy for patients with transfusion-dependent thalassemia (TDT). The high incidence of transplant-related complications is becoming an obstacle to safe and effective unrelated donor (URD) transplantation.
Methods: In this retrospective study, we reported the survival outcomes and complications of transplantation in thalassemia patients using a novel regimen consisting of pre-transplantation immunosuppression (PTIS) and modified myeloablative conditioning based on intravenous busulfan, cyclophosphamide, fludarabine, and rabbit anti-human thymocyte immunoglobulin.

Background: Placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) is one of the most dangerous pregnancy-related conditions. This study aims to conduct a systematic review of current research on the ultrasound scoring systems used in PAS patients with a comprehensive summarization of researches and comparison of prenatal ultrasound scoring in evaluating postpartum outcomes.
Methods: This systematic review was conducted and reported following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines.
Acetohydroxy acid synthase (AHAS) is a key enzyme that catalyzes the synthesis of branched-chain amino acids, which is indispensable for the survival and growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb). Aim to discover new AHAS inhibitors from natural products, here we performed computer assistant target-based screening for Mtb-AHAS inhibitors using Discovery Studio on TCMSP and SELLECK libraries. Mtb-AHAS structure was first simulated and verified for docking, and 80 compounds with top LIBDOCK and CDDOCK scores were obtained.

We note that the rapid death of ducklings caused by DHAV is likely due to its rapid release from enterocytes. However, the underlying mechanism driving the release of DHAV remains poorly understood.

Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) vaccines have been widely used to effectively inhibit gonadal development and reproductive function. To improve the immunogenicity of GnRH, we developed and evaluated the effects of GnRH6-kisspeptin-CRM197 immunization on the reproductive function in male goats. Thirty 3-month-old male goats (n = 30) were randomly assigned to control, surgical, and immunized groups.
