[Intercropping history, pattern, and case analysis of Chinese medicinal material].

Intercropping is a traditional and widely used planting pattern, and different intercropped plants have differences in spatial distribution and morphological structure compared with monoculture. Therefore, intercropping can realize efficient acquisition of limited space resources and efficient conversion of existing resources by utilizing the principle of niche complementarity of composite groups, weakening interspecific or intra-specific competition, and enhancing their complementary growth. Intercropping of Chinese medicinal material(CMM) has experienced the evolution of more than two thousand years from its founding to inheritance and development.

Coronary computed tomography angiography for assessing the coronary artery and predicting adverse cardiovascular events in patients with thoracic malignancies.

Background: It is unclear whether the parameters derived from coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) can identify the impairments of coronary arteries and if they are associated with major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs) in patients with thoracic malignancies receiving chemotherapy or chemoradiotherapy. This study aimed to investigate the longitudinal changes in coronary arteries using CCTA and to determine their association with MACEs in patients with thoracic malignancies receiving chemotherapy or chemoradiotherapy.

Methods: This cross-sectional study included consecutive patients with thoracic malignancies who received chemotherapy or chemoradiotherapy and who underwent CCTA between June 2013 and May 2019 at Chongqing University Cancer Hospital.

The association between vitamin D receptor gene polymorphism FokI and type 2 diabetic kidney disease and its molecular mechanism: a case control study.

Background: The role of the vitamin D receptor single nucleotide polymorphism FOKI (VDR-FOKI) (rs2228570) in genetic susceptibility to type 2 diabetic kidney disease (T2DKD) remains uncertain. This study investigated the relationship between VDR-FOKI and T2DKD within the Chinese Plateau Han population and analyzed the underlying mechanisms.

Methods: A total of 316 subjects were enrolled, including 44 healthy adults, 114 individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), and 158 patients with T2DKD.

The singlet oxygen carrier addresses the challenges of traditional photodynamic therapy (PDT), which relies on the presence of oxygen within solid tumors and struggles with light penetration issues. However, the inability to control the release of singlet oxygen has hindered precise treatment applications. Here, we introduce an acid-responsive singlet oxygen nanodepot (aSOND) designed to overcome this limitation.

Exploring the impact of physical exercise on mental health among female college students: the chain mediating role of coping styles and psychological resilience.

Background: Female college students are a high-risk group for psychological conflicts, and they are more likely to adopt negative coping styles under stress, which can lead to anxiety, depression, and other psychological problems, as well as pose hidden threats to the healthy development of school education and social work. Although physical exercise is an important means of effectively alleviating the psychological health of female college students, and there may be a close relationship between coping styles and psychological resilience with physical exercise and psychological health, specific ways to promote the psychological health of female college students by influencing their coping styles and enhancing their psychological resilience have yet to be explored.

Methods: The present study employed a cross-sectional design to investigate a sample of Chinese undergraduate female college students.
