The global lockdown to mitigate COVID-19 pandemic health risks has altered human interactions with nature. Here, we report immediate impacts of changes in human activities on wildlife and environmental threats during the early lockdown months of 2020, based on 877 qualitative reports and 332 quantitative assessments from 89 different studies. Hundreds of reports of unusual species observations from around the world suggest that animals quickly responded to the reductions in human presence.

The investigation of gastric hemomotorodynamics in 23 patients with various types of gastritis and 10 practically healthy patients have been carried out in the clinic of general surgery of Izhevsk State Medical Academy. The method of investigation was transillumination hemomotorodynamic monitoring, which was carried out simultaneously with fibrogastroscopy. The findings received testify to hemomotorodynamic disturbances in chronic gastritises.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFWe examined acid-producing stomach functions, local hemodynamics and motility of the stomach and duodenum in performing organ preservation surgery: combined gastric vagotomy, selective proximal vagotomy and extended selective proximal vagotomy. Changes of hemodynamics and motility in the early postoperative period are related to the technical peculiarities of performing various types of vagotomy. Restoration of the functional state of the stomach and duodenum takes place in the late postoperative period.
