Global COVID-19 lockdown highlights humans as both threats and custodians of the environment.

The global lockdown to mitigate COVID-19 pandemic health risks has altered human interactions with nature. Here, we report immediate impacts of changes in human activities on wildlife and environmental threats during the early lockdown months of 2020, based on 877 qualitative reports and 332 quantitative assessments from 89 different studies. Hundreds of reports of unusual species observations from around the world suggest that animals quickly responded to the reductions in human presence.

[Optical sonography in differential diagnosis of thyroid nodes].

Objective: To develop a non-invasive method for differential diagnosis of thyroid nodes.

Material And Methods: Optical sonography was made in 623 patients with thyroid nodes including 374 women (60%) and 249 men (40%) aged 19-79 years (mean 64±15 years). All patients underwent ultrasound-assisted fine-needle aspiration biopsy.

The results of treatment of 100 patients with widespread forms of peritonitis were analyzed. In the control group of patients complications were diagnosed with the use of intraluminal pulsemotorography by Z.M.

[Hemomotorodynamic disturbances in various types of chronic gastritis].

The investigation of gastric hemomotorodynamics in 23 patients with various types of gastritis and 10 practically healthy patients have been carried out in the clinic of general surgery of Izhevsk State Medical Academy. The method of investigation was transillumination hemomotorodynamic monitoring, which was carried out simultaneously with fibrogastroscopy. The findings received testify to hemomotorodynamic disturbances in chronic gastritises.

[Vagotomy in emergency surgery for duodenal ulcer].

We examined acid-producing stomach functions, local hemodynamics and motility of the stomach and duodenum in performing organ preservation surgery: combined gastric vagotomy, selective proximal vagotomy and extended selective proximal vagotomy. Changes of hemodynamics and motility in the early postoperative period are related to the technical peculiarities of performing various types of vagotomy. Restoration of the functional state of the stomach and duodenum takes place in the late postoperative period.
