B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) is the most common hematologic malignancy, capable of invading the brain, meninges, and nerve roots of the brain and spine, leading to high lethality. Herein, we designed and developed novel nanostructures for the first time by biofunctionalizing chitosan with two specific antibodies (i.e.

In Brazil, at least four lineages of influenza A virus circulate pig population: 2009 H1N1 flu pandemic (pH1N1), human-seasonal origin H3N2, H1N1 and H1N2 (huH1 lineages) viruses. Studies related to the occurrence of swine influenza A virus (SIAV) in Brazilian herds have been detecting an increase of occurrence of huH1 lineages. This study aimed to construct recombinant vaccines against the huH1N1 virus and test the immunogens in a murine model.

Hence, we report for the first time the design, synthesis, and characterization of new hybrid organic-inorganic stimuli-responsive nanoplexes (NPX) for bioimaging and killing brain cancer cells (GBM, U-87). These nanoplexes were built through coupling two nanoconjugates, produced using a facile, sustainable, green aqueous colloidal process ("bottom-up").

In this field, tissue-engineered skin substitutes have therapy potential to assist in the treatment of acute and chronic skin wounds, where many requirements are still unmet. Hence, in this study, a novel type of biocompatible ternary polymer hybrid hydrogel scaffold was designed and produced through an entirely eco-friendly aqueous process composed of carboxymethyl cellulose, chitosan, and polyvinyl alcohol and chemically cross-linked by citric acid, forming three-dimensional (3D) matrices, which were biofunctionalized with L-arginine (L-Arg) to enhance cellular adhesion.

Bluetongue Virus (BTV) and Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (EHDV) are primarily transmitted by their biological vector, spp. Latreille, 1809 (Diptera: Ceratopogonidae). These viruses can infect a diverse range of vertebrate hosts, leading to disease outbreaks in domestic and wild ruminants worldwide.
