- The study used a semi-structured questionnaire to assess the knowledge and perceptions of 102 in-patients, revealing that while most had fair knowledge (71.6%), only 15.7% showed good knowledge, and over half had a negative perception of these infections.
- Statistical analysis indicated that knowledge and perception of nosocomial infections were significantly influenced by patients' age, highlighting a need for better education and awareness in hospital settings.
