Using integrative bioinformatics approaches and machine-learning strategies to identify potential signatures for atrial fibrillation.

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common tachyarrhythmia and seriously affects human health. Key targets of AF bioinformatics analysis can help to better understand the pathogenesis of AF and develop therapeutic targets. The left atrial appendage tissue of 20 patients with AF and 10 patients with sinus rhythm were collected for sequencing, and the expression data of the atrial tissue were obtained.

Diabetes mortality burden attributable to influenza in China: A population-based time-series analysis.

Background: Previous studies have found an association between influenza, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease mortality, and all-cause mortality. And the vaccination of elderly diabetes is often recommended to reduce the risk of hospitalization and death. Nevertheless, no previous work has investigated the short-term impact of influenza on diabetes mortality in China.

Dynamic Evolution and Effective Tuning of Lithium Dendrites Revealed by Phase Field Model and 2D Numerical Simulation.

Lithium dendrites are widely acknowledged as the main culprit of the degradation of performance in various Li-based batteries. Studying the mechanism of lithium dendrite formation is challenging because of the high reactivity of lithium metal. In this work, a phase field model and in situ observation experiments were used to study the growth kinetics and morphologies of lithium dendrites in terms of anisotropy, temperature, and potential difference.

Extraction camouflage treatment of a skeletal Class III malocclusion with severe anterior crowding by miniscrews and driftodontics in the mandibular dentition.

An 18-year-old Chinese woman presented with chief complaints of crowded teeth and mild mandibular prognathism. Clinical and imaging examinations revealed a concave profile, a protruded chin, increased lower anterior facial height mild, skeletal Class III and Angle's Class III malocclusion, with anterior crossbites, and crowded teeth. Extraction camouflaged therapy combined with miniscrews skeletal anchorage was employed to relieve crowding and retract the mandibular anterior teeth.
