Nanoplastics are widely present in the environment. Exposure to environmental pollutants during pregnancy can have adverse effects on fetal development and health. Establishing a link between nanoplastics and Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD) requires further investigation.

Herein, we introduce a novel SERS-based approach using a noble metal-free CuS@MoS heterojunction sensor, which has been meticulously engineered for enhanced sensitivity and stability in the detection of plastic contaminants. This semiconductor heterostructure harnesses the inherent surface plasmon resonance (SPR) effects of CuS and the efficient charge transfer facilitated by the built-in electric field at the CuS@MoS interface, rivaling the performance of noble-metal-based SERS sensors.

Terahertz (THz) fingerprint sensing utilizes the absorption of fingerprints generated by the unique vibrational characteristics of molecules to achieve substance-specific identification. By taking full advance of the anapole mode induced-biosensor consisting of out-of-plane metal-insulator-metal (MIM) configuration, the D-glucose solutions down to physiological level are accurately detected by proposed metasurface biosensor through the electromagnetic induced absorption (EIA) effect induced by the interaction between the metasurface and molecular vibrational fingerprint. Besides, by utilizing the vibrational fingerprint sensing ability, the pure D-glutamic acid and D-lactose, as well as their mixture have been quantitatively characterized.

Nevertheless, premature release of the drugs in tumor microenvironment (TME) or low tumor targeting efficiency of the nanocarriers significantly reduces its therapeutic efficiency. Herein, we propose a release-and-trapping strategy that significantly enhances the chemotherapeutic efficiency of an anticancer drug camptothecin.

Based on the existing research results and preliminary tests, a composite material with similar brittleness and rock burst tendency index to the granite on site was developed, and a cubic rock burst model of 500 × 500 × 500 mm was poured. The test results show that in the gas explosion excavation, the air pressure impact causes the test block to be destroyed instantaneously, the small fragments splash and the explosion sound is significant, indicating that the instantaneous release of gas can cause material damage and simulate the dynamic characteristics of the blasting process.
