Anemia is a potentially life-threatening blood disorder caused by an insufficient erythroblast volume in the circulatory system. Self-renewal failure of erythroblast progenitors is one of the key pathological factors leading to erythroblast deficiency. However, there are currently no effective drugs that selectively target this process.

The phase compositions, elemental distribution, microstructural characteristics, hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the composite coatings were analyzed using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), Vickers hardness testing, friction-wear testing and electrochemical methods. The coatings have no obvious pores, cracks or other defects.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFCSF1R-related disorder, a catastrophic neurodegenerative disease, arises from genetic mutations in the colony-stimulating CSF1R. Initial misdiagnosis is common, as demonstrated by this case involving a 52-year-old female who presented with symptoms of limb numbness and weakness. Differential diagnosis first indicated Parkinsonism, lacunar infarction, and cervical spondylosis.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFOptogenetics is a valuable tool for studying the mechanisms of neurological diseases and is now being developed for therapeutic applications. In rodents and macaques, improved channelrhodopsins have been applied to achieve transcranial optogenetic stimulation. While transcranial photoexcitation of neurons has been achieved, noninvasive optogenetic inhibition for treating hyperexcitability-induced neurological disorders has remained elusive.

Guideline adherence to these recommendations by cardiologists in China is unknown.
Methods And Results: An independent academic web-based survey was designed and distributed via social networks to cardiologists across China.
