The incidence of blast injuries has been rising globally, particularly affecting the lungs due to their vulnerability. Primary blast lung injury (PBLI) is associated with high morbidity and mortality rates, while early diagnostic methods are limited. With advancements in medical technology, and portable handheld ultrasound devices, the efficacy of ultrasound in detecting occult lung injuries early remains unclear.

However, the role of piwi-interacting RNAs (piRNAs) in HCC processes has not been extensively explored. Through small RNA sequencing, our study identified a specific piRNA, pir-hsa-216911, which is highly expressed in HCC cells.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAstragalus polysaccharide (APS) is a bioactive component of Astragalus species that shows protective effects on C2C12 muscle cell proliferation and differentiation under hypoxic conditions. In this study, EdU staining, cell scratch testing, quantitative reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction, Western blotting, immunofluorescence analysis, and lnc-GD2H silencing were used to investigated the protective effects and mechanisms of action of APS against CoCl-induced hypoxic injury of muscle cells. Our results showed that APS promoted cell proliferation and increased the expression of lnc-GD2H, c-Myc, and Ki-67.

Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) can aid in diagnosing fractures. This study aims to internally and externally validate an open source algorithm for the detection and localization of DRFs.
