Coal fly ash, a waste byproduct of coal-fired power plants rich in silica, is produced in vast quantities, exceeding 750 million tons annually. This abundance underscores the importance of finding sustainable and value-added applications for its reuse. Silver nanoparticle-silica composites represent a class of inorganically hybrid antimicrobial agents as the protection layer of cotton fabrics.

(Caesalpiniaceae) and evaluate their activity against human cancer cell lines. Five compounds, namely β-sitosterol (1), piperine (2), piperolein B (3), retrofractamide A (4), and dehydropipernonaline (5), were isolated from B.

The accuracy of the estimates has been evaluated using root mean square error (RMSE) and bias. The paper also includes an analysis of the effect of the estimation method on the estimated quantiles considering a real-life example of annual maximum peak flows and the Generalized Normal Distribution as the error distribution.
