This study aimed to investigate the effect of AT-I on the secretion of estradiol (E) and progesterone (P) in feline ovarian granulosa cells (FOGCs), which is necessary for pregnancy.

Himalaflavones F and G, two new flavonoids from the roots of Edgew with anti-inflammatory activity.

Himalaflavones F () and G (), two new flavonoids, along with eight known ones ()were isolated from the roots of Edgew. The chemical structures of these compounds were elucidated by 1D/2D NMR, UV and HR-ESI-ME data. Meanwhile, the anti-inflammatory activities of all isolates were test by using Griess method.

Exploring insulin resistance and pancreatic function in individuals with overweight and obesity: Insights from OGTTs and IRTs.

To investigate insulin resistance and pancreatic β-cell function in overweight or obese people under the same glucose tolerance conditions. The subjects were categorized based on the results of the oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) and the BMI classification criteria. Basal and postprandial glucose concentrations, insulin concentrations, pancreatic β-cell function (HOMA-β), the insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR), and the insulin early secretion index (ΔI30/ΔG30) were compared between the different weight groups.

Dual-function paper-based biosensor for sensitive detection of hyaluronidase and human papillomavirus DNA using diffusion wet area as readout.

Herein, a novel dual-function paper-based biosensor using diffusion wet area as readout has been developed for simple and sensitive detection of hyaluronidase (HAase) and human papillomavirus (HPV) 16 DNA, respectively. The target-regulated-water absorption hydrogel synthesized by hyaluronic acid (HA) and single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) is chosen as an ideal material for diffusion wet area generation on paper. The hydrogel can be degraded through the enzymolysis of HA by HAase or the trans-cleavage of ssDNA by HPV DNA-activated CRISPR/cas12a system.

Case report and literature review: removal of a mercury thermometer from the abdomen of a 16-year-old boy under laparoscopy.

Introduction: The incidence of foreign bodies within the human body is uncommon, with thermometers representing an exceptionally rare subset of such cases. The management of these cases is particularly challenging due to the fragility of mercury thermometers and the toxic nature of their contents.
