The telomeric G-quadruplex (G4) along with the telomerase catalytic subunit hTERT are crucial in the extension of telomeres. Tumor cells can establish replicative immortality by activating the telomere-maintenance mechanism (TMM).Small molecule ligands can limit cancer telomere lengthening by by targeting at G4 and hTERT.

Unfortunately, as confined by the monochromatic nature of detection signals and the limited catalytic activity of enzymes, CELISAs suffer from poor visual resolution and low sensitivity, hindering their effectiveness for early diagnostics in resource-limited settings. Herein, we report an ultrasensitive, high-visual-resolution CELISA (named PE-TSA-AuAg Cage-CELISA) that combines kinetically controlled growth of Ag in AuAg nanocages with poly-enzyme-boosted tyramide signal amplification (PE-TSA), enabling visual semiquantitative detection of protein biomarkers at attomolar levels with the naked eye.

Certain inclusion membrane proteins have been demonstrated to mediate the interactions between intra-inclusion chlamydial organisms and the host cell. It has been demonstrated previously that the -encoded Cpn0308 localizes to the inclusion membrane; however, its function remains unknown.

The Drug-eluting bead-based bronchial arterial chemoembolization (DEB-BACE) combination immunotherapy is a rare neoadjuvant therapy for lung cancer surgery, which can significantly reduce the time it takes for lung cancer patients to undergo surgery. We report a male patient, aged 59-year-old, with Stage-III b squamous cell lung cancer accompanied by hemoptysis underwent surgical resection after DEB-BACE combination immunotherapy treatment 21 days later without obvious adverse events.

The traditional method uses focal echocardiography to complete the left ventricular measurement. However, echocardiographic determination of the ejection fraction (EF) by manual tracing of the endocardial borders is time consuming and operator dependent.
