Nerve injuries can be tantamount to severe impairment, standard treatment such as the use of autograft or surgery comes with complications and confers a shortened relief. The mechanism relevant to the regeneration of the optic nerve seems yet to be fully uncovered. The prevailing rate of vision loss as a result of direct or indirect insult on the optic nerve is alarming.

The conversion of carbon dioxide (CO) into carbon-neutral fuels using solar energy is crucial for achieving energy sustainability. However, the high carrier charge recombination and low CO adsorption capacity of the photocatalysts present significant challenges. In this paper, a TAPB-COF@ZnInS-30 (TAPB-COFZ-30) heterojunction photocatalyst was constructed by growth of ZnInS (ZIS) on a hollow covalent organic framework (HCOF) with a hollow core-shell structure for CO to CO conversion.

Objective: Using machine learning to construct a prediction model for the risk of diabetes kidney disease (DKD) in the American diabetes population and evaluate its effect.

Methods: First, a dataset of five cycles from 2009 to 2018 was obtained from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database, weighted and then standardized (with the study population in the United States), and the data were processed and randomly grouped using R software. Next, variable selection for DKD patients was conducted using Lasso regression, two-way stepwise iterative regression, and random forest methods.

Objective: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of chocolate balloons in patients with chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI) and infrapopliteal artery disease, and compare them with conventional balloons.

Methods: This single-center retrospective study included 167 patients with CLTI and infrapopliteal who underwent endovascular intervention with or without chocolate balloons from September 1, 2019 to June 30, 2023. The primary endpoint was amputation-free survival (AFS).

Direct regeneration of spent lithium-ion batteries offers economic benefits and a reduced CO2 footprint. Surface prelithiation, particularly through the molten salt method, is critical in enhancing spent cathode repair during high-temperature annealing. However, the sluggish Li+ transport kinetics, which relies on thermally driven processes in the traditional molten salt methods, limit the prelithiation efficiency and regeneration of spent cathodes.
