Utricle is an important vestibular sensory organ for maintaining balance. 3,3'-iminodipropionitrile (IDPN), a prototype nitrile toxin, has been reported to be neurotoxic and vestibulotoxic, and can be used to establish an damage model of vestibular dysfunction. However, the mechanism of utricular HCs damage caused by IDPN is unclear.

In our work, extracellular vesicles from Citri Reticulate Pericranium (CEVs) were isolated and investigated their physicochemical characteristics and biological activities. We identified the vesicle structures as regular, with a particle size of approximately 200 nm.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFAccurate segmentation of retinal blood vessels from retinal images is crucial for detecting and diagnosing a wide range of ophthalmic diseases. Our retinal blood vessel segmentation algorithm enhances microfine vessel extraction, improves edge texture clarity, and normalizes vessel distribution. It stabilizes neural network training for complex retinal vascular features.

Methods: There were in total 81 EC patients. There were 64 cases of non-aggressive histological type, and 17 cases of aggressive histological type.
