Along with the renaissance of radical chemistry, the past decade has witnessed rapid development in radical-mediated rearrangement reactions. A wide diversity of radical approaches harnessing functional-group migration (FGM) have been devised to enhance both synthetic efficiency and molecular complexity. However, the application of FGM reactions to construct stereogenic centers remains underexplored owing to the inherent challenges of asymmetric radical reactions.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTerahertz (THz) signals are crucial for ultrawideband communication and high-resolution radar, demanding miniaturized detectors that can simultaneously measure multiple parameters such as intensity, frequency, polarization, and phase. Traditional detectors fail to meet these needs. To address this, we introduce a plasmon polariton atomic cavity (PPAC) detector based on monolayer graphene, offering a multifunctional, monolithic, and miniaturized solution.

Humerus greater tuberosity (HGT) avulsion fracture is one of the most common types of proximal humerus fractures. The presence of motion and gap lead to the failure of implants, due to the force pulling from the supraspinatus. In this work, electrospinning technology was applied to fabricate PCL-PEG/CS/AST nanofiber with superior biocompatibility and mechanical property.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFLow temperatures significantly impact growth in ectothermic vertebrates, though the underlying mechanisms remain poorly understood. This study investigates the role of transient receptor potential ankyrin 1 (TRPA1) channels in mediating low temperature effects on growth performance and growth hormone (GH) resistance in Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). Prolonged exposure to low temperature (16°C for 35 days) impaired growth performance and induced GH resistance, characterized by elevated serum GH levels and decreased insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) levels.
