Effects of Inositol Supplementation in Sperm Extender on the Quality of Cryopreserved Mesopotamian Catfish (, H. 1843) Sperm.

In this study, the effects of supplemented inositol on sperm extenders were examined on the spermatozoa motility rate and duration, total antioxidant and oxidant status, apoptotic spermatozoa and DNA damage, during the sperm post-thaw process of Mesopotamian Catfish (, H. 1843). The semen was frozen in diluents containing different inositol concentrations (5, 10, 20 and 40 mg).

Normal Saline Versus Balanced Crystalloid Solutions for Kidney Transplantation.

Introduction: The ideal crystalloid solution to be used during the perioperative period in patients undergoing kidney transplantation remains unclear. Normal saline (NS), the intravenous fluid commonly using during the perioperative period, contains a high chloride content, which may be associated with hyperchloremic metabolic acidosis and acute kidney injury. Balanced crystalloid (BC) solutions have a lower chloride content.

Background: Pre-transplant sensitization to human leukocyte antigens (HLA) is a risk factor for graft failure. The purpose of the current single-center study was to evaluate humoral immune response to HLA antigens and the possible relationship between anti-HLA antibody titer and autoimmune disorders in renal transplant candidates.

Methods: A total of 435 renal transplant candidates were analyzed; 50 sensitized patients were enrolled in this study.

Determination of spermatological properties of male Liza abu (Heckel, 1843) in Atatürk Dam Lake, Sanliurfa.
