Using scanning electron microscopy, various portions of the ureter in reflux and obstructive ureterohydronephrosis in children were evaluated. In the first case, architectonics of the distal portions is preserved, while in the second case connective tissue is proliferated. Differences in the structure of proximal and distal portions in both forms of ureterohydronephrosis consist in inflammatory changes and violation of the integrity of the epithelial lining, edema and infiltration of the underlying layers, especially the inner muscle layer of the distal portion.

Patients And Methods: We identified women (374) diagnosed with stage III breast cancer between 2000 and 2009 years. We compared radical operations with and without a plastic step, where 29 patients underwent the surgery in combination with an immediate radical resection with LD-flap replacement, mastectomy concurrently to TRAM-flap reconstruction in 103 patients.
A new less traumatic method of pubic bone approximation in extrophy of the urinary bladder in children is proposed. To ascertain efficacy of the method, results of 3-stage reconstructive plastic operations with pubic bone approximation without osteotomy (group 1, n=27), one-stage reconstructive plastic operations with transversal suturing of the anterior abdominal wall (group 2, n=19), and one-stage reconstructive plastic operations according to the new techniques of pubic bone approximation (group 3, n=9) were compared. To receive satisfactory results, 27 patients of group 1 had to undergo 97 operative interventions for complications, 19 patients of group 2 had undergone 33 operative interventions.

During the dynamic observations, complete correlations were found between the peculiarities of manifestations and of the clinical course of the tumor process, the level of free-radical LP and the antioxidants of blood serum. A comprehensive assessment of all mentioned indices can be used to monitor the efficiency of a conducted therapy.

The investigation of blood microelements by a highly sensitive neutron-activation method has shown an increased level of copper, zinc in the plasma, decreased content of iron, zinc in the plasma, decreased content of iron, manganese in erythrocytes, copper and manganese in the plasma of 75 children with calculous pyelonephritis as compared with healthy children. Besides, dysproteinemia was revealed depending on the activity and duration of the inflammatory process.
