[The characteristics of the course and treatment of severe forms of leptospirosis].

At the resuscitation clinic 27 patients suffering from hepatorenal form of leptospirosis were observed. Some features of the course of hepatorenal insufficiency were noted in this disease: relatively short period of oligoanuria, absence of hyperkalemia, dependence of the degree of hemorrhagic syndrome on the level of thrombocytes and absence of correlation with prothrombin consumption index, an apparent brain edema in autopsy tissue. Timely delivery of intensive care including hemodialysis, hemosorption, oxybarotherapy, ultraviolet irradiation of blood, corticosteroid therapy enabled the recovery to be secured in 67% of patients with grave forms of leptospirosis.

[Treatment of burn wounds and wounds healing with secondary tightening using dressings with aerosil].

The results of treatment of burn wounds and the wounds, healing with secondary closure, using the dressings containing the layer of aerosil a 2-3 mm thick, were studied. In principal group earlier than in control the decrease of wound intoxication occurred, alike the normalization of electrolyte balance, acid-base balance, and haemodynamics, improvement of patients' general condition, and the shortening of their stay in hospital was noted.

[Disorders of erythrocyte deformability].

The literature data on the disturbances of the deformability of erythrocyte membranes (DEM) in different conditions have been reviewed. The diseases characterized by reduced DEM have been enumerated. The causes of disturbed DEM have been indicated and the devices and methods investigating it have been outlined.

[The pathophysiological characteristics of anaphylactic shock].

Data are reported on the course of anaphylactic shock in 27 patients. It was established that respiratory insufficiency is as a rule, a sequel of distress syndrome. The symptoms of hepatic failure are mainly manifested in patients with a previously involved liver.

[Disorders of electrokinetic properties of blood in patients with surgical diseases].

In examination of the patients with tumors (25), ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum (9), urolithiasis (11), cholelithiasis (5), occlusive lesion of the arteries of the extremities (17), it was established that the most significant decrease in electrokinetic blood properties was observed in a high prothrombin index, plasma fibrinogen and electrolytes content in the blood serum. For correction of the disorders revealed, rheopolyglucin , hemodes , heparin, trental were administered intravenously.
