This study aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of low-dose rituximab (RTX) in the treatment of neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (NMOSD) patients. NMOSD patients were treated with RTX at ~25% of the standard dose. The annualized relapse rate (ARR), expanded disability status scale (EDSS) score, visual function system scale (VFSS) and length of spinal cord lesions before and after treatment were statistically compared.

Method: Published manuscripts about CTLA-4 gene rs221775A>G single nucleotide polymorphism and multiple sclerosis susceptibility were searched in the computerized bibliographic searches of Pubmed Embase and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI). Potential studies were screened and data for 5025 MS patients and 4706 controls from 20 publications were included.

Psoralen is a major active component of Psoralea corylifolia. In the present study, we analyzed psoralen-induced changes in human breast cancer MCF-7/ADR cells and investigated the underlying mechanisms of the anticancer effect on MCF-7/ADR cells. We measured cell viability by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay to evaluate the cytotoxicity and multidrug resistance (MDR) reversal activity of psoralen.
