Magneto-responsive soft actuators hold significant promise in soft robotics due to their rapid responsiveness and untethered operation. However, controlling their deformations presents challenges because of their inherent flexibility and high degrees of freedom. Here, we present a magnetically driven bistable dome-shaped soft actuator that simplifies deformation by limiting it to two distinct states.

This study aimed to investigate the association between adherence to four established healthy eating patterns and subsequent CD or UC risk, and further examined whether these associations are linked to anti-inflammatory mechanisms.
Methods: We conducted a prospective cohort study of 197,391 participants from the UK Biobank who completed at least one dietary questionnaire and were free from inflammatory bowel disease or cancer at baseline.
This study aims to determine the effect of different high-pressure processing (HPP) conditions (100 MPa/300 MPa/500 MPa; 2 min/4 min/6 min) on copigmentation, specifically between chlorogenic acid (CA), epicatechin (Epi), gallic acid (GA), malvidin-3-O-galactoside (Mv-3-O-gal), and malvidin-3-O-arabinoside (Mv-3-O-ara), as well as the storage stability of the copigmentation solutions. The results showed that the influence of different HPP treatment conditions on copigmentation was not significant. HPP treatment did not significantly affect the λ, peak absorption, color parameters, and Mv-3-O-gal anthocyanin content when applied alone or in combination with CA and Epi.

Traditional hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining primarily reveals cellular inflammation with limited detail on fibrosis. To address these issues, we introduce a pioneering label-free quantitative multiphoton fiber histology (MPFH) technique that delineates the intricate characteristics of collagen and elastin fibers for ILD diagnosis.

Despite the recent progress in the preparation of multifunctional films composed of TiCT MXenes, achieving highly uniform single-layer TiCT MXene films (SLMFs) with continuous and dense conductive pathways to realize multifunctional TCFs (M-TCFs) remains a significant challenge. Here, the Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique is employed to assemble large TiCT MXene (LM) flakes (∼52 μm) into SLMFs with controlled stacking density and morphology, enabling the fabrication of M-TCFs with high conductivity and transparency simultaneously.

Ice crystal damage, as well as oxidative stress, result in mitochondrial dysfunction and a reduction in sperm motility after thawing. However, limited information exists regarding the impact of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and mitochondria on the cryopreservation of ram sperm.

Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the association of dietary OCM nutrients with subsequent risk of AD and further assess whether participants with high genetic risk for AD might benefit from dietary OCM nutrients.
Methods: We analyzed data from 192,214 participants who completed at least one 24-h dietary questionnaire and had no previous history of AD based on the UK Biobank.
Magnetic soft grippers have attracted intensive interest due to their untethered controllability, rapid response, and biological safety. However, manipulating living objects requires a simultaneous increase in shape adaptability and gripping force, which are typically mutually exclusive. Increasing the magnetic particle content enhances the magnetic strength but also increases the elastic modulus, leading to low adaptability and high impact force.

The conventional approach for fabricating alginate-based tissue engineering constructs entails a post-treatment phase employing a calcium ion solution. However, this method proves ineffectual in addressing the predicament of low precision during the 3D printing procedure and is unable to prevent issues such as non-uniform alginate gelation and substantial distortions.

However, there have been limited pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) studies of omadacycline in patients with hepatic impairment. The aim of this study was to explore the PK/PD of omadacycline intravenous administration in healthy and hepatically impaired populations.

It is in estrus all year round, and its breeding population is gradually expanding. However, the current techniques for cryopreserving semen have limited effectiveness, which hinders the continuous development of this species.

Despite this interest, understanding WEO's regeneration mechanism within aged asphalt binders, particularly its diffusion behavior when mixed with both aged and virgin asphalt binders, remains limited. This study adopts a molecular dynamics approach to constructing models of virgin, aged, and rejuvenated asphalt binders with different WEO contents (3%, 6%, 9%, and 12%).
