Despite decades of research in spatially confined superconducting systems to understand the modification of superconductivity from reduced length scales, the investigation of the quantum confinement effect on high-temperature superconductors remains an outstanding challenge. Here, we report scanning tunneling spectroscopy measurements on laterally confined FeSe monolayers on SrTiO substrates, which are formed by epitaxially growing FeSe films with a coverage less than one unit cell. Comparing to the uniform regions of FeSe monolayers, the peninsula regions at the monolayer boundary exhibit reduced Fermi energy and undiminished superconductivity, leading to a putative crossover from a Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer state to a Bose-Einstein condensate state.

Organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have recently been demonstrated to be promising renewable harvesters because of their prominent photovoltaic power conversion efficiency (PCE), although their stability and efficiency still have not reached commercial criteria. Trouble-oriented analyses showcase that defect reduction among the grain boundaries and interfaces in the prepared perovskite polycrystalline films is a practical strategy, which has prompted researchers to develop functional molecules for interface passivation. Herein, the pyridine-based bifunctional molecule dimethylpyridine-3,5-dicarboxylate (DPDC) was employed as the interface between the electron-transport layer and perovskite layer, which achieved a champion PCE of 21.

This study aims to screen and identify specific cluster miRNAs of H7N9 virus-infected N2a cells and explore the possible pathogenesis of these miRNAs. Whether the immune imprinting caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV) affects the efficiency of SARS-CoV-2 vaccination has attracted global concern. Little is known about the dynamic changes of antibody response in SARS convalescents inoculated with three doses of inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccine although lack of cross-neutralizing antibody response to SARS-CoV-2 in SARS survivors has been reported. We longitudinally examined the neutralizing antibodies (nAbs) against SARS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2 as well as spikes binding IgA, IgG, IgM, IgG1, and IgG3 antibodies in 9 SARS-recovered donors and 21 SARS-naïve donors.

A composite material with temperature-humidity control functions was prepared by using sepiolite-zeolite powder as humidity control matrix and capric acid phase change microcapsules as temperature control material. The micromorphology, thermal conductivity, compressive strength, hygrothermal effect were studied by environmental scanning electron microscope (ESEM), thermal conductivity test, strength test and hygrothermal effect test, respectively. The results showed that the phase change temperature of capric acid phase change microcapsule is between 31 °C ~ 32 °C, the phase change enthalpy is 123.

Increasing evidence suggests that dysregulated immune responses are associated with the clinical outcome of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Nucleocapsid protein (NP)-, spike (S)-, receptor binding domain (RBD)- specific immunoglobulin (Ig) isotypes, IgG subclasses and neutralizing antibody (NAb) were analyzed in 123 serum from 63 hospitalized patients with severe, moderate, mild or asymptomatic COVID-19. Mild to modest correlations were found between disease severity and antigen specific IgG subclasses in serum, of which IgG1 and IgG3 were negatively associated with viral load in nasopharyngeal swab.
