The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, has necessitated an urgent need for understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying viral infection and host response. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have emerged as key regulators in viral pathogenesis, mediating complex interactions between the virus and the host's cellular machinery. In this study, we identify miR-140-5p as a significant factor in the regulation of SARS-CoV-2 entry into host cells.

HER2 and EGFR are frequently co-expressed in various tumors. While antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) targeting HER2, such as T-DM1 and T-Dxd, have shown remarkable antitumor effects in clinical responses, their effectiveness is constrained by drug resistance. EGFR amplification or high expression is one of the factors that lead to resistance against HER2-targeted ADCs.

Vein graft (VG) failure (VGF) is associated with VG intimal hyperplasia, which is characterized by abnormal accumulation of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs). Most neointimal VSMCs are derived from pre-existing VSMCs via a process of VSMC phenotypic transition, also known as dedifferentiation. There is increasing evidence to suggest that ginger or its bioactive ingredients may block VSMC dedifferentiation, exerting vasoprotective functions; however, the precise mechanisms have not been fully characterized.
