Ready-to-eat (RTE) abalones, scallops and oysters were prepared through a process of cooking, drying, vacuum packaging, and high-temperature sterilization, and were subjected to accelerated storage. Upon storage, the three RTE shellfishes all showed color deterioration, as indicated by darker color, decreased L* and W* values, and increased a* value. In contrast, the color deterioration of RTE oysters was more pronounced.

The mechanisms underlying this phenotypic shift remain unclear. This study investigates the activation dynamics of molecular signaling pathways in macrophages and microglia after stroke.

However, the ecological risks and degradation behavior of MPs in compost remain insufficiently understood. This review addresses these gaps by synthesizing recent findings on MPs in composting systems, focusing on their sources, impacts on compost quality, ecological risks, and degradation mechanisms.

This study aimed to explore the pathogenesis of AO through proteomics. Apocrine gland tissues from 3 mild and 3 severe AO patients were analyzed using 4D label-free proteomics, followed by bioinformatics analysis.

Despite the potential for high-precision forecasting through machine learning, the effectiveness of these models is often compromised by data quality issues, such as incomplete data sets, inaccuracies in historical records, inconsistencies in sampling methods, and the dynamic nature of environmental factors, leading to temporal and spatial variability. This study develops an early warning system for HABs using water quality data from a freshwater lake prone to such blooms.

Alterations in chromosomes 3, 7, and 17, along with the P16 locus on chromosome 9 (CSP3, CSP7, CSP17, and GLPp16), are associated with cancer progression and may serve as important biomarkers. This study aimed to explore the relationships between these chromosomal factors and the pathological grade and TNM stage of UCC, potentially leading to a novel diagnostic approach that enhances patient stratification and treatment planning.

Making such sensors ultra-flexible and transparent is important to preserve the aesthetics of living environments, accommodate daily activities, and functionally integrate with objects. However, existing RF sensors are unable to simultaneously achieve high transparency, flexibility, and the electrical conductivity required for remote room-scale operation.

However, the FCC structure limits yield strength and makes the alloys unable to meet ever-increasing demands for exploring the universe. Here, we report a strategy to obtain FCC materials with outstanding mechanical properties in both ambient and cryogenic environments, via exploiting dynamic development of the interstitial-driven local chemical order (LCO).

In this study, an environmentally friendly electron-rich S-doped CS ferrocarbon material (Fe-S-CN) was synthesized via the sol-gel method, and the resulting material exhibited excellent catalytic activity (up to 98.6 % diclofenac sodium (DCF) removal in 5 min), wide pH applicability, environmental tolerance and renewability.

We aimed to comprehensively explore the relation between IBD (and its subtypes) and AD, early-onset AD (EOAD) and late-onset AD (LOAD) from a genetic pleiotropy perspective.
Methods: Relying on summary statistics (N = 472,868 for AD, 185,204 for EOAD, 191,061 for LOAD, 59,957 for IBD, 45,975 for CD, and 40,266 for UC), we first performed Mendelian Randomization to examine the causal association between IBD and AD by leveraging vertical pleiotropy.
With the resource development gradually into the deep, rock explosion phenomenon is more and more frequent. The suddenness and harmfulness of rockbursts threaten the safe development of underground resources. In order to more accurately predict the possible intensities of rockbursts in specific rock conditions and stress environments, the rock mechanical and stress parameters between different intensities of rockbursts are further explored, an AdaBoost model considering the differences in the hierarchy is established, and a Flash Hill-Climbing method is proposed to optimize the hyperparameters in the classification model.

Persistent micro-inflammation is a unique feature of MHD. Given the established role of inflammation in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis, this study aims to explore whether novel inflammatory markers (inflammation index) can serve as independent risk factors for CVD in MHD patients.

It is imperative to identify novel biomarkers for predicting response to immunotherapy and explore alternative therapeutic strategy for GC.
Methods: The transcriptomic profiles and clinical information of GC patients from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA)-stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD) database was used to screen differentially expressed lncRNAs between the tumor specimens and the paracancerous tissues.

In recent years, the importance of microorganisms for plant survival has been increasingly recognized. Endophytic fungi, as part of holobiont, can confer growth advantages to plants. Most studies have shown that the endophytic fungi of forest trees can promote host plant growth, increase adversity resistance, and thus improve the survival competitiveness of forest trees.
