Article Synopsis
  • Industrial eco-efficiency measures the relationship between production activities and environmental impact, highlighting its importance for sustainable development, especially in the textile sector.
  • The study focused on three sub-sectors in China's textile industry—cotton, non-cotton, and printing/dyeing—using a slacks-based measure (SBM) model to analyze firm-level eco-efficiency from 2001 to 2011.
  • Findings revealed an overall upward trend in eco-efficiency, with larger firms performing better, while economic scale and export delivery positively influenced eco-efficiency, contrasting with negative impacts from foreign direct investment and environmental regulations.

The synergetic control of carbon and air pollutant emissions will be an unflagging effort for China in its dual pursuit of air quality improvement and carbon neutrality. The shared features of sectoral emissions from network and supply chain perspectives, as well as the evolution of these features under policy intervention remain to be investigated. This study develops four ecological networks for CO and SO emissions targeting the period 2010-2015 with strengthened emission control implemented.

Objective: To assess the role and effect of Wharton's jelly of human umbilical cord oriented scaffold on chondrocytes co-cultured in vitro.

Methods: Chondrocytes from shoulder cartilage of adult New Zealand rabbits were isolated, cultured, amplified, and labelled using fluorescent dye PKH26. Cells were extracted from human umbilical cord tissue using wet-grinding chemical technology to prepare the Wharton's jelly of human umbilical cord oriented scaffold by freeze-drying and cross-linking technology.
