The working mechanism of resonant sensors is based on tracking the frequency shift in the linear vibration range. Contrary to the conventional paradigm, in this paper, we show that by tracking the dramatic frequency shift of the saddle-node bifurcation on the nonlinear parametric isolated branches in response to external forces, we can dramatically boost the sensitivity of MEMS force sensors. Specifically, we first theoretically and experimentally investigate the double hysteresis phenomena of a parametrically driven micromechanical resonator under the interaction of intrinsic nonlinearities and direct external drive.

The distinctive left-handed polarization properties render cellulose nanocrystal a promising candidate for optical film. Due to eco-friendliness, reliability, mildness and simplicity, the oxalate hydrolysis method stands out among various preparation methods for CNC.

However, the limited synchronization bandwidth hinders its broader application, and few techniques have been explored to enhance this aspect. In this paper, we conducted theoretical and experimental studies on the unidirectional synchronization characteristics of a resonator with phase lock loop oscillation.

In this strategy, urea not only acted as fertilizer but also acted as a crosslinker to construct an alginate network. The microstructure, chemical structure, thermal stability and composition of the obtained SA/urea hydrogel were characterized in detail.

Over usage of emerging contaminant such as sulfamethazine poses serious threat to the aquatic and human health as well. This study deals with rationally structured a novel BiOCl (110)/NrGO/BiVO heterojunction which is used to detoxify sulfamethazine (SMZ) antibiotic efficiently.

In this work, we present a novel MEMS bifurcation sensor that exploits frequency unlocking due to a 1:3 internal resonance between two electrostatically coupled micro-resonators. The proposed detection mechanism allows the sensor to operate in binary (digital) and analog modes, depending on whether the sensor merely detects a significant jump event in the peak frequency upon unlocking or measures the shift in the peak frequency after unlocking and uses it in conjunction with a calibration curve to estimate the corresponding change in stimulus.

We evaluated the predictive value of circulating Ang-2 levels for periprocedural myocardial injury (PMI) in 145 patients undergoing elective percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), and investigated whether post-PCI Ang-2 levels are influenced by PMI. PMI was defined as a post-procedural troponin elevation above the 5×99 percentile upper reference limit.

Methods: We performed a case-control study with 435 participants (237 CAD patients and 198 controls) who underwent diagnostic coronary angiography from September 2018 to October 2019.
Novel potentially biobased aliphatic-aromatic copolyesters poly(butylene succinate-co-butylene furandicarboxylate) (PBSFs) in full composition range were successfully synthesized from 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid (FA), succinic acid (SA), and 1,4-butanediol (BDO) via an esterification and polycondensation process using tetrabutyl titanate (TBT) or TBT/La(acac)(3) as catalyst. The copolyesters were characterized by size exclusion chromatography (SEC), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), (1)H NMR, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and their tensile properties were also evaluated. The weight average molecular weight (M(w)) ranges from 39,000 to 89,000 g/mol.
