Tendons and ligaments are crucial connective tissues linking bones and muscles, yet achieving full functional recovery after injury remains challenging. We investigated the characteristics of tendon stem/progenitor cells (TSPCs) by focusing on the declining tendon repair capacity with growth. Using single-cell RNA sequencing on Achilles tendon cells from 2- and 6-week-old mice, we identified and as novel surface antigen markers for TSPCs.

Lithium oxy-thiophosphates isostructural with LiGePS (LGPS) were synthesized by a liquid-phase process using 2-propanol as the solvent and LiS and PS as the starting materials. Objective: To determine the optimal quantitative magnetic resonance (MR) biomarker in neonatal encephalopathy following therapeutic hypothermia based on scan timing.

Study Design: This retrospective study included 98 neonates (35-41 weeks of gestation) with neonatal encephalopathy, who underwent therapeutic hypothermia; diffusion-weighted imaging and proton MR spectroscopy were performed at 24-96 hours (n = 56) and 7-14 days (n = 92) after birth, respectively, to estimate apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values, N-acetylaspartate and N-acetylaspartylglutamate (tNAA), lactate, and choline concentrations, and lactate/tNAA, tNAA/choline ratios in the deep gray matter. Adverse outcomes included death or neurodevelopmental impairment at 18-22 months of age.

We investigated the effects of hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)-1α on articular cartilage under mechanical stimulation and the associated mechanisms. Chondrocytes, isolated from articular cartilage from the knee, hip, and shoulder joints of Wistar rats, were subjected to 20 % tensile stress under hypoxic (5% O) conditions for 24 h.
