Glycosyl composition and glycosyl linkage analyses showed that the hemicellulose was composed of arabinoxylan, (1-->3, 1-->4)-beta-D-glucan, xyloglucan and glucomannan. (1-->3, 1-->4)-beta-D-glucan was purified by anion-exchange chromatography and xylanase-treatment.
