Purpose: Inadequate sleep duration affects asthma and weight. The associations among sleep duration, asthma, and different weight statuses in the Chinese population need to be further determined.
Methods: The study included 32,776 Chinese adults from the China Health and Nutrition Survey during 2009-2015.
Background: Zoledronic acid (ZA) and strontium-89 have been widely used to treat lung cancer with bone metastases. The authors perform this meta-analysis to better evaluate the clinical outcome of ZA and strontium-89 for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients.
Methods: We carried out standard meta-analysis and network meta-analysis based on a comprehensive data retrieval of EMBASE, PubMed, and Cochrane Library databases (up to March 2019).
Monocarboxylate transporter 4 (MCT-4) serves a key function in transporting lactate across the plasma membrane in various types of human cancer. Evidence indicates that MCT-4 expression is associated with non-small cell lung cancer; however, the distribution and clinical significance of MCT-4 in the lung adenocarcinoma (AC) subtype remain unknown. Thus, the aim of the present study was to explore the clinicopathological significance and prognostic values of MCT-4 expression in lung AC.

It has an increased rate of hospitalization due to COPD exacerbation which is believed to indicate a worsening of the underlying chronic airway inflammation. Therefore, the aim of this prospective study was to explore whether OSA exacerbates airway inflammation in subjects with COPD by examining the bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) fluid.

To date, the anti‑tumor effects of ISO and the underlying mechanisms have not been elucidated in lung cancer cells. The present study investigated the inhibitory effects of ISO on the growth of human lung cancer A549 cells.
