Article Synopsis
  • This study investigates the effects of Indonesian basil maceration on the reproductive health of female albino rats, particularly focusing on ovarian development and uterine growth.
  • Fifteen female rats were divided into three groups: a control group receiving mineral water, one group receiving 1% basil maceration, and another receiving 5% for 20 days, during which hormone levels and reproductive organ characteristics were measured.
  • The results showed that while follicle-stimulating hormone levels remained consistent across groups, both estrogen and progesterone levels were significantly higher in basil-treated groups, leading to increased uterine weight and vascularization.
