An updated synthesis of the Geophilomorpha (Chilopoda) of Asian Russia.

A comprehensive overview of the state of knowledge on the ChilopodaGeophilomorpha of the Asian part of Russia is presented, based on the critical revision of all published morphological descriptions and all geographical records. Revised diagnoses for all the 38 nominal species so far reported from Asian Russia are given, with comments on their validity. Among them a total of 18 species are recorded only from this region and many of them from a single locality only.

Morphology and distribution of the Middle Asian centipede genus Lignau, 1929 (Chilopoda, Geophilomorpha, Mecistocephalidae).

A comprehensive redescription of the poorly known mecistocephalid genus Lignau, 1929 and its two species is provided, based on the examination of type material and new specimens, as well as the critical evaluation of all published information. is confirmed differing from all other Mecistocephalidae especially for a peculiar pattern of areolation and setation of the clypeus. Records from 24 localities indicate that is limited to a narrow area of Middle Asia, from the Western Tian-Shan to the western offshoots of Pamir Mountains.

An annotated checklist of centipedes (Chilopoda) of Middle Asian countries, part 1. Lithobiomorpha.

The first part of an annotated checklist of the centipede fauna of five Middle Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan) based on literature data critically revised, is here presented. The check-list includes 49 species of Lithobiomorpha arranged in 10 genera and 3 families (Anopsobiidae, Henicopidae, and Lithobiidae). Two monotypic genera (Dzhungaria Farzalieva, Zalesskaja Edgecombe, 2004 and Ghilaroviella Zalesskaja, 1975) and 31 species are known from Middle Asian countries only; 3 species are regarded as introduced in the region.
