Background: Sirolimus is a commonly used immunosuppressant administered after solid organ transplantation. It is characterized by a narrow therapeutic window and highly variable exposure, necessitating the identification of the sources of variability and design of individualized drug therapies.

Aim: This study aimed to perform a population pharmacokinetic (PK) analysis of sirolimus in adult liver transplant recipients and develop dosing regimen recommendations according to patient characteristics.

Parabens are common contaminants in river and lake environments. However, few studies have been conducted to determine the effects of parabens on bacteria, phytoplankton, and zooplankton communities in aquatic environments. In this study, the effect of methylparaben (MP) on the diversity and community structure of the aquatic plankton microbiome was investigated by incubating a microcosm with MP at 0.

Intraguild predation (IGP) can have a significant impact on phytoplankton biomass, but its effects on their diversity and assemblage composition are not well understood. In this study, we constructed an IGP model based on the common three-trophic food chain of "fish (or shrimp)-large branchiopods ()-phytoplankton", and investigated the effects of IGP on phytoplankton assemblage composition and diversity in outdoor mesocosms using environmental DNA high-throughput sequencing. Our results indicated that the alpha diversities (number of amplicon sequence variants and Faith's phylogenetic diversity) of phytoplankton and the relative abundance of Chlorophyceae increased with the addition of , while similar trends were found in alpha diversities but with a decrease in the relative abundance of Chlorophyceae in the treatment.

Article Synopsis
  • The study focuses on measuring the half-life of two-neutrino double beta decay (DBD), which can help in the search for elusive Majorana neutrinos through neutrinoless double beta decay.
  • Researchers used the PandaX-4T dual-phase Time Projection Chamber (TPC) with 3.7-tonne natural xenon and released data from 94.9 days of physics experiments.
  • The resulting half-life measurement is 2.27 ± 0.03 () ± 0.10 () × 10 years, marking the first DBD half-life measurement with natural xenon and showcasing the effectiveness of a large-scale liquid xenon TPC for rare event searches.*

Article Synopsis
  • The study examines the absorption of fermionic dark matter by nuclei, which may provide a new way to detect light dark matter with a distinct monoenergetic signal.
  • Researchers analyzed 95.0 days of data from the PandaX-4T commissioning run to look for signals of fermionic dark matter absorption via a neutral current process.
  • They found no significant signal, establishing a minimum limit for the dark matter-nucleon interaction cross section at 1.5×10^{-50}  cm^{2} for a fermionic dark matter mass of 40  MeV/c^{2} with 90% confidence.

We report a novel search for the cosmic-ray boosted dark matter using the 100  tonne·day full dataset of the PandaX-II detector located at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. With the extra energy gained from the cosmic rays, sub-GeV dark matter particles can produce visible recoil signals in the detector. The diurnal modulations in rate and energy spectrum are utilized to further enhance the signal sensitivity.

Metal-mediated base pairs have been extensively utilized in many research fields, including genetic-code extension, novel therapeutics development, and nanodevice design. Compared to other cations, Ag is more flexible in pairing with natural base pairs. Herein, we present a DNA structure containing two C-Ag -C pairs and the first reported G-Ag -G pair in a short 8mer DNA strand.
