Light field displays reconstruct 3D scenes through integral imaging. However, inefficient light ray acquisition degrades the visual experience, while the fixed position of the exit pupil limits viewer mobility. In this paper, we propose a novel light field acquisition method employing parallax mapping techniques, coupled with adaptive viewport optimization based on eye tracking data.

Cancer stem cells (CSCs), a small subset of cells in tumors that are characterized by self-renewal and continuous proliferation, lead to tumorigenesis, metastasis, and maintain tumor heterogeneity. Cancer continues to be a significant global disease burden. In the past, surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy were the main cancer treatments.

Background: The prevalence and outcomes of coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) among patients using glucocorticoids and immunosuppressants remain controversial.

Aim: The study aims to investigate the impact of immunosuppressants especially glucocorticoids on patients in the Autoimmune Bullous Diseases Cohort of West China Hospital (AIBDWCH) during COVID-19.

Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional survey from December 7, 2022, to February 8, 2023, using questionnaires administered either face-to-face or by phone.

Membrane-based separation has the merit of low carbon footprint. In this study, the pore size of metal-organic framework (MOF) membranes is rationally designed for discriminating various pairs of hydrocarbon isomers. Specifically, Zr-MOF UiO-66 (UiO stands for University of Oslo) membranes are developed for separating p/o-xylene due to their proper pore size.

Membrane-based separation process for unconventional natural gas purification (mainly N/CH separation) has attracted more attention due to its considerable economic benefits. However, the majority of separation membranes at this stage, particularly N-selective membranes, achieve the desired separation target by mainly relying on the diffusivity-selectivity mechanism. To overcome the limitation of a single mechanism, 2D lamellar MXene membranes with a double selectivity mechanism are prepared to enhance N permeance and N/CH selectivity via introducing unsaturated metal sites into MXene, which can form specific interactions with N molecules and enhance N permeation.

The spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and its variants is threatening public health around the world. Endocytosis functions as an important way for viral infection, and SARS-CoV-2 bears no exception. However, the specific endocytic mechanism of SARS-CoV-2 remains unknown.
