Background: Most pregnant women do not reach the recommendation for physical activity (PA). As a subcategory of PA, exercise is also essential. Evidence on pregnant women's attitudes and barriers to PA and exercise self-efficacy in China is scarce.

Generation of self-compatible diploid potato by knockout of S-RNase.

Re-domestication of potato into an inbred line-based diploid crop propagated by seed represents a promising alternative to traditional clonal propagation of tetraploid potato, but self-incompatibility has hindered the development of inbred lines. To address this problem, we created self-compatible diploid potatoes by knocking out the self-incompatibility gene S-RNase using the CRISPR-Cas9 system. This strategy opens new avenues for diploid potato breeding and will also be useful for studying other self-incompatible crops.

Thermal stability and melt rheology of poly(p-dioxanone).

Melt viscosities of poly(p-dioxanone) (PPDO) samples having different molecular weights were studied using a controlled-strain rotational rheometer under a nitrogen atmosphere. First, PPDO's thermal stability was evaluated by recording changes in its viscosity with time. The result, that samples' viscosities decreased with time when heated, demonstrated that PPDO is thermally unstable: its degradation activation energy, obtained by using a modified MacCallum equation, was a relatively low 71.
