This study explores the reparative effect of Qixiong Zuogui Compound Prescription(QXZG) intervention on the blood-brain barrier(BBB) in the aging brain with middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO) in rats mediated by bone marrow stem cells(BMSCs)-derived exosomes, as well as its anti-aging mechanism. An aging MCAO composite model was established using D-galactose-induced aging combined with line embolism. Rats were divided into young sham surgery group, aging sham surgery group, model group, exosome group, and exosome with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) intervention group.

Cavin family proteins are indispensable for caveolar formation and function. An increasing number of studies have found that cavins are involved in tumor growth, invasion, metastasis, and angiogenesis and may have dual roles in the regulation of cancer.

However, the practical application of this method is challenging due to its weak optical sectioning and limited spatial resolution. Here, we report on the combination of a distorted diffraction grating and multifocal scanning illumination microscopy to improve spatial resolution and contrast.

Complement C3 (C3) is usually deposited spontaneously on the surfaces of invading bacteria prior to internalization, but the impact of C3 coating on cellular responses is largely unknown. () is a facultative intracellular pathogen that subverts autophagy and replicates in both phagocytic and nonphagocytic cells. In the present study, we deposited C3 components on the surface of by complement opsonization before cell infection and confirmed that C3-coatings remained on the surface of the bacteria after they have invaded the cells, suggesting cannot escape or degrade C3 labeling.

In recent years, proteomics has been increasingly influential in SCZ research. Glycosylation, a key post-translational modification, can alter neuronal stability and normal signaling in the nervous system by affecting protein folding, stability, and cellular signaling.

Methods: The main components and target genes of ZGW were screened the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology (TCMSP). In addition, the target gene sets of PMOP were derived from the GeneCards and Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man databases.
Purpose Of Review: This review aims to provide a theoretical basis and insights for quercetin's clinical application in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis (OP), analyzing its roles in bone formation promotion, bone resorption inhibition, anti-inflammation, antioxidant effects, and potential mechanisms.
Recent Findings: OP, a prevalent bone disorder, is marked by reduced bone mineral density and impaired bone architecture, elevating the risk of fractures in patients. The primary approach to OP management is pharmacotherapy, with quercetin, a phytochemical compound, emerging as a focus of recent interest.
Purpose: This study aimed to clarify the effect of early glucocorticoid (GC) application on achieving minimal manifestation (MM) status or better in the treatment of myasthenia gravis (MG) in the early clinical phase.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed using data from 336 patients with MG who received GC therapy from January 2015 to September 2022 in the Zhengzhou University Henan Institute of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences Myasthenia Gravis Biobank (ZMB). Patients were divided into two groups: the early mono-GC group (treated with GC within 6 months of MG onset) and the delayed mono-GC group.

The immune inflammatory response throughout the course of AS has been evidenced by studies, in which a large number of immune cells and inflammatory factors play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of AS. The inflammation related to AS is mainly mediated by inflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, IL-6, IL-18, TNF-α, hs-CRP, SAA), inflammatory enzymes (Lp-PLA2, sPLA2-IIA, MMPs), and inflammatory signaling pathways (P38 MAPK signaling pathway, NF-κB signaling pathway, TLR2/4 signaling pathway).

Aging is the main risk factor for neurodegenerative diseases. The neurovascular unit(NVU) is the smallest functional unit of the brain, which regulates brain blood flow and maintains brain homeostasis.

The epigenetic modification of the oxytocin receptor (OTR) via DNA methylation stimulates parturition and breast milk secretion and inhibits craniopharyngioma, breast cancer, and ovarian cancer growth significantly as well as directly regulates bone metabolism in their peripheral form rather than the central form. OT and OTR can be expressed on bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs), osteoblasts (OB), osteoclasts (OC), osteocytes, chondrocytes, and adipocytes.

Therefore, we investigated the clinical characteristics of TNMG in Chinese patients.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 925 patients with MG registered in the Department of Neuroimmunology, Henan Institute of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences from January 2015 to March 2021.

Myasthenia gravis (MG) is characterized by autoimmune damage to the postsynaptic membrane of the neuromuscular junction (NMJ) with impaired postsynaptic acetylcholine receptor (AChR) aggregation. Low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 4 (LRP4) plays an important role in AChR aggregation at endplate membranes the Agrin-LRP4-muscle-specific receptor tyrosine kinase (MuSK) cascade. Sorting nexin 17 (SNX17) regulates the degradation and recycling of various internalized membrane proteins.
