Demonstration of π-π Stacking at Interfaces: Synthesis of an Indole-Modified Monodisperse Silica Microsphere SiO@IN.

In the present study, a novel silane coupling agent, designated INSi, was synthesized via a facile synthetic route, incorporating indole-functional moieties. This agent was further employed for the surface modification of homemade silica nanomicrospheres (SMPs). The ensuing nanomicrosphere composite, denoted as SiO@IN, exemplified pronounced interfacial π-π interactions.

Incidence and risk factors associated with negative postoperative behavioral changes in children undergoing painless gastroscopy.

Objective: To investigate the incidence of and risk factors associated with negative postoperative behavioral changes (NPOBCs) in children undergoing painless gastroscopy.

Methods: Inclusion criteria: ASA I-II and outpatients aged 6-12 years undergoing painless gastroscopy.

Exclusion Criteria: history of surgery or anesthesia, children with developmental or intellectual abnormalities, refusal to participate, preoperative abdominal pain score > 3 points, history of chronic abdominal pain of > 3 months duration, and serious intraoperative complications.

Exploring the mechanism underlying hyperuricemia using comprehensive research on multi-omics.

Hyperuricemia involves multiple complex metabolisms, but no study has conducted a comprehensive analysis using human blood and urine metabolomics for hyperuricemia. Serum and urine samples from 10 patients with hyperuricemia and 5 controls were collected and analyzed by the UHPLC-MS/MS. Differential metabolites were identified and used in the enrichment analysis where we collected hyperuricemia target genes.

Versatile Polypropylene Copolymers from a Pilot-Scale Spheripol II Process.

Polypropylene (PP) is one of the most widely used polymers. In this paper, three types of PPs including random PP, impact PP, and impact PP with high clarity, were prepared through a 75 kg/h pilot-scale Spheripol II process. The three produced PPs were produced by the selection or combination the two loops and gas phase reactor and controlling the comonomer and hydrogen concentrations.

Effect of Cold Rolling Process on Microstructure, Texture and Properties of Strip Cast Fe-2.6%Si Steel.

The use of twin-roll strip casting for the preparation of non-oriented silicon steel has attracted widespread attention in recent years, but related reports are limited. In this study, both one- and two-stage cold rolling with three intermediate annealing temperatures were employed to produce strip cast non-oriented silicon steel. The evolution of the microstructure and texture through the processing routes and its effect on magnetic properties were studied.

[Impact of premature rupture of membranes on neonatal complications in preterm infants with gestational age <37 weeks].

Objective: To investigate the effect of premature rupture of the membrane (PROM) on neonatal complications in premature infants.

Methods: The registration information of 7684 preterm infants with gestational age <37 weeks were collected from the cooperative units in the task group between January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014. Specially trained personnel from each cooperative units filled in the unified form in a standardized format to record the gender, gestational age, birth weight, PROM, placental abruption, antenatal corticosteroid, Apgar score, amniotic fluid pollution, and complications of the infants.

Colorimetric detection of trivalent chromium in aqueous solution using tartrate-capped silver nanoparticles as probe.

This study describes a simple and highly selective method for the colorimetric detection of trivalent chromium (Cr3+) using tartrate-capped silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) as probe. The addition of tartrate to the initially prepared AgNPs gives tartrate-stabilized AgNPs ascribing to the electrostatic repulsion of the highly negatively charged tartrate ions covered on the surface of AgNPs. It is found that, in the presence of Cr3+ in aqueous solution, the aggregation of tartrate-stabilized AgNPs occurs.
