Norovirus is a major etiological agent of nonbacterial gastroenteritis around the world. Due to its in vitro culture complexity, high genome diversity, and the lack of cross-reactive immunity between genogroups, there is an unmet urgent need for polyvalent norovirus vaccines that provide broad-spectrum protection, and no vaccine has gained global approval to date. In this study, we constructed a bivalent norovirus vaccine, based on the highly attenuated poxvirus [strain VG9] vector, expressing the major capsid protein VP1 from genotypes GII.

High variability of influenza B virus (IBV) hemagglutinin (HA) impairs the cross- neutralization ability of vaccines, leading to reduce efficacy. We identified significant differences in cross-neutralization between IBV strains B/Wyoming/06/2014 and B/Brisbane/60/2008, which differ in only three amino acid residues. The 214 T point mutation was found to dramatically enhance cross-neutralization (>10-fold).

The measurement accuracy is limited by the unknown absolute form error of the reference flat. Absolute testing offers a strategy to break through the limitation.

This work compared the effects of dural puncture epidural (DPE), combined spinal epidural analgesia (CSEA) and epidural analgesia (EA) on labor analgesia for primiparae and their impacts on maternal and infant safety. A total of 204 primiparae in need of labor analgesia for vaginal delivery were allocated to DPE, CSEA and EA groups. At 10 min, 30 min and 1 h after analgesia, the DPE and CSEA groups showed lower VAS scores and quicker onset of action than EA group.

Methods: This retrospective cohort study included 403 patients who underwent cardiovascular surgery for the first time during the 2022 wave of the pandemic within 1 month. Among them, 328 patients were preoperatively diagnosed with COVID-19 Omicron variant infection during the pandemic, and 75 patients were negative.
Strain-hardening cementitious composite (SHCC) has the obvious advantages of excellent material properties such as its high tensile and compressive strengths, high tensile strain capacity, and excellent durability against multi-cracking performance with very fine crack widths. In particular, the multi-cracking performance of SHCC during structural utilization is obviously reduced compared to that of SHCC in uniaxial tension tests using dumbbell-shaped specimens of small size. The corresponding tensile strain capacity of SHCC during structural utilization is, thus, significantly decreased compared to that of SHCC in uniaxial tension tests.

Objectives: To explore the application of 3D printed navigation template technology in severe Hallux valgus surgery.
Methods: Forty-eight patients with severe Hallux valgus were selected. There were 24 cases in the control group underwent hallux valgus osteotomy using traditional methods and fixed with fully threaded hollow screws during the surgery.
The lateral distortion of a surface measuring Fizeau interferometer may cause distorted image features in the lateral direction, as well as the surface form error in the axial direction (which is a source of the retrace error). Traditional method for lateral distortion measurement requires a high-accuracy calibration plate featuring a grid pattern. Such a calibration plate is not always available, especially when the required accuracy of the grid pattern comes to the order of sub-micrometer or even nanometer level.

Purpose: The most popular surgical approach to manage Lisfranc fracture-dislocations is the double-incision approach, which frequently causes a variety of complications, such as skin necrosis, rotational malreduction of the first tarsometatarsal joint (TMTJ) and lateral column dorsoplantar malreduction of the TMTJ. We introduce a three-incision approach to treat Lisfranc fracture-dislocations with only minor postoperative complications and good foot function.
Methods: We prospectively selected 30 previously healthy patients, ranging from 18 to 60 years of age, but only 23 patients completed the follow-up and thus were finally included, with an average age of 38.

Objective To investigate the effect of matrine on gastric mucosal injury induced by N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine (MNNG) in rats and its mechanism. Methods A total of 75 Wister rats were randomly divided into a control group, a model group and three matrine-treated groups (100, 150 and 200 mg/kg). Except for the control group, the other groups were treated with MNNG to establish the models of gastric mucosal injury in the rats.

Methods: All adult patients who received RE at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology in Beijing Shijitan Hospital between January 2017 and May 2019 were enrolled. The demographics, clinical characteristics, and management data were collected and analyzed.
This paper presents a simple system capable of detecting wavefront information in the wavelength range of 488-1064 nm based on an interferometric system consisting of a ball lens and an aspheric collimator. The design is conducive to short-distance Gaussian beam expansion and collimation at multiple wavelengths. The design principles and performance of the system are described in detail; the measurement precision of the system is verified experimentally by measuring the surface profile of a piece of uncoated N-BK7 glass at various test wavelengths with the proposed setup and with a digital 4D FizCam 2000 interferometer.

Methods: This is a case-control study. The peripheral venous blood was collected.
Single-cell sequencing technology is a promising systematic and comprehensive approach to delineate clonal associations between cells. The present study collected 13 and 12 cervical cells from fresh tumour tissue prior to and following radiotherapy, respectively, from a 46-year-old female patient with exogenous-type cervical carcinoma. Next, single-cell whole-genome sequencing analysis was performed on each cell.
