After the peak of rapid wind power development, a large amount of wind turbine blades reach/exceed their service life due to aging or damage. These ex-service wind turbine blades (EWTB) will increase the issue of its high-efficient utilization in the future decades. Among several treatment methods, pyrolysis has been considered as a promising solution to separate inorganic fiberglass and make organic epoxy resin (OER) high-value-added converted.

Due to the complex sources and variable components of the OSWs, the co-disposal is highly essential. Various typical OSWs, including food waste (cooked rice, CR), agricultural waste (rice husk, RH; sugarcane bagasse, SB), and industrial waste (furfural residue, FR), were selected for this study.

Using data from the 2020 China Family Panel Study, this study employed logistic regression analysis to examine how Internet activity affects depressive symptoms in adolescents in China. The results indicated that adolescents with longer online duration using mobile phones tended to have higher levels of depression.

But process water (liquid product from HTC, containing organic compounds) has not been well utilized in the way of thermochemistry. In this study, a scheme of co-gasification of solid and liquid products of kitchen waste HTC process was proposed, and the separate gasification and co-gasification were studied.

This work developed a two-step leaching method to pretreat cornstalk, dividing the inorganic metals into water-soluble (K, 74 wt%), acid-soluble (Al, Ca, Fe, etc) and insoluble (Si) substances. The water-soluble K was mainly in KCl form, the acid-soluble metals were removed in phosphates and sulfates forms.

Despite growing attention to job satisfaction as a social determinant of alcohol-related behaviors, few studies focus on its diverse impacts on alcohol consumption. Using data from the China Family Panel Study in 2018, this study uses logistic regression analysis to examine how job satisfaction affects alcohol consumption in China, finding that people who were satisfied with their jobs were more likely to be regularly drinking. Employed people who were satisfied with their working environment and working hours were more likely to regularly drink, but those who were satisfied with their wages and working security were less likely to be regularly drinking.

In this paper, poplar sawdust was pretreated by HTC to study the correlation between microstructure and gasification characteristics. The results showed the fixed carbon and higher calorific value increased from 13.

Methods: Phosphate buffer saline (PBS), and Boxb were injected into BALB/c mice subconjunctivally before the corneas were infected with RAW264.7 macrophages and neutrophils were pretreated with PBS and Boxb to determine the HMGB1 inflammatory amplification effects.
Aim: To identify the presence of various bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) and their receptors in normal sclera of human, rat and guinea pigs, and to determine whether their expression changed with form-deprivation myopia (FDM) in guinea pig sclera.
Methods: The expression of BMPs and BMP receptors were detected using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and immunofluorescence. Two-week-old guinea pigs were monocularly form-deprived with a translucent lens.

Objective: To observe the visual quality after implantation of Acrysof toric intraocular lens (IOL) in cataract patients.
Methods: Eighty eyes (60 patients) had implantation of Acrysof toric IOL in our hospital between Oct. 2009 and Sep.
Purpose: To identify strabismus-related proteins, we performed proteome analysis in monozygotic twins with discordance of congenital esotropic phenotypes and in normal children.
Methods: Surface-enhanced laser desorption/ ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (SELDI-TOF-MS) technology was used to detect changes in protein expression in a pair of twins with discordant esotropic phenotypes (twin A is orthotropic and twin B is esotropic). In addition, two non-twin esotropic children and two orthotropic children of the same age were chosen.
