Determining the Exposure Routes and Risk Assessment of Isocyanates in Indoor Environments.

Isocyanates are used as raw materials for polyurethane foams, paints, and building materials. The isocyanates can cause acute adverse health effects such as irritation of the respiratory tract, skin, and eyes, and induce asthma and sick house syndrome. However, investigations into the potential sources and risk assessments of indoor isocyanates are limited.

Enhancement of photodegradation of polyethylene with adsorbed polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons under artificial sunlight irradiation.

The photodegradation of plastic waste produces microplastics (MPs) in marine environments. Plastics can adsorb hydrophobic organic pollutants such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and can be transported over long distances. However, the impact of adsorbed pollutants on the photodegradation remains unknown.

Circularly polarised luminescence from excimer emission of anthracene derivatives complexed with γ-cyclodextrin in the solid state.

In this study, we report circularly polarised luminescence (CPL)-active molecules that exhibit high fluorescence quantum yields in the solid state. We developed anthracene derivatives with substituents at the 9 and 10 positions, such as ethyl(anthracene-9-carbonyl)glycinate (9AnGlyEt), -butylanthracene-9-carboxamide (9AnB), -benzylanthracene-9-carboxamide (9AnPh), and , -dibutylanthracene-9,10-dicarboxamide (9,10AnB). These compounds were complexed with γ-cyclodextrin (γ-CD) in the solid state by grinding, and the fluorescence properties of the resulting γ-CD complexes were investigated.
