Article Synopsis
  • - This study investigated how using specific soil treatments (coconut shell biochar and calcium magnesium phosphate) and a foliar selenium fertilizer could help reduce cadmium contamination in farmland.
  • - Results revealed that these treatments improved soil quality (pH, organic matter, and CEC) and boosted the yield of wheat and maize after application.
  • - The best treatment combination significantly lowered cadmium levels in crop roots, straws, and grains, suggesting a promising method for safer agricultural practices on contaminated land.
