Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a major cause of acute respiratory tract infections in infants and elderly individuals, leading to hospitalisation and potentially fatal outcomes, posing a serious threat to global health and economy. This study proposes a smartphone-based mobile digital pressure sensor (smartphone-MDPS) for the quantitative detection of the RSV fusion protein (RSV-F) in clinical nasopharyngeal samples. The smartphone-MDPS utilized two monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) specific to the F protein, of which mAb1 was conjugated with Au@PtNPs (Au@PtNPs-mAb1) as the detection antibody and mAb2 was coupled with magnetic beads (MB-mAb2) as a coating antibody to establish a novel sandwich immunoassay.

This study aims to enhance the accuracy of PM generated from [Ga]Ga-DOTA-FAPI-04 PET images and explore the potential value of PM in detecting reactive fibrosis after myocardial infarction and assessing its relationship with cardiac function.
Methods: We proposed a deep-learning-based method that fuses multi-modality images to compensate for the cardiac structural information lost in [Ga]Ga-DOTA-FAPI-04 PET images and accurately generated PMs.
The successful development of Sacituzumab Govitecan and Trastuzumab Deruxtecan has made camptothecin derivatives one of the most popular payloads for antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). Camptothecin and its derivatives all exist in a pH-dependent equilibrium between the carboxylate and lactone forms. Such transformation may lead to differences in the ratio of the two molecular forms in calibration standards and biological matrix (bio-matrix) samples, thereby leading to inaccurate conjugated antibody results.

Methods: Patients pathologically diagnosed with cervical cancer and with a T stage ≤ T2a2 were prospectively enrolled. All patients underwent whole-body [ Ga]Ga-FAPI-04 PET/MR and [F]FDG PET/CT within 2 weeks, and surgical treatment was performed within 10 days after PET.
Objective: The inhibition of the Hippo pathway through targeting the Yes-associated protein (YAP) presents a novel and promising approach for treating tumors. However, the efficacy of YAP inhibitors in the context of breast cancer (BC) remains incompletely understood. Here, we aimed to investigate the involvement of YAP in BC's metabolic reprogramming and reveal the potential underlying mechanisms.

Glucose metabolic reprogramming, known as the Warburg effect, is one of the metabolic hallmarks of tumor cells. Cancer cells preferentially metabolize glucose by glycolysis rather than mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation regardless of oxygen availability, but the regulatory mechanism underlying this switch has been incompletely understood. Here, we report that the circular RNA circ ankyrin repeat domain 17 (ANKRD17) functions as a key regulator for glycolysis to promote cell growth, migration, invasion, and cell-cycle progression in breast cancer (BC) cells.

In this study, we determined via bioinformatic expression analyses and immunohistochemistry staining that intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM1) is an attractive target for ATC and PTC. We designed and engineered two ICAM1-directed antibody-drug conjugate (I1-MMAE and I1-DXd), both of which potently and selectively ablate multiple human ATC and PTC cell lines without affecting non-plastic cells .

The therapeutic effect was evaluated by [F]FLT PET/CT to visualize the effect of gene therapy.
Methods: A viral gene vector containing the pancreatic cancer-targeting promoter MUC1 for specific transcription of equilibrative nucleoside transporter 1 (ENT1) and NIS (nuclide transport channel) was employed.
Purpose: To provide a theory for guiding clinical treatment by comparing the clinical application value of [F]fluorodeoxyglucose ([F]FDG) PET/CT and [Ga]Ga-FAPI (fibroblast activating protein inhibitor) PET/MR in the diagnosis and evaluation of resectability of ovarian cancer.
Methods: Thirty patients with high clinical suspicion of ovarian malignancies were enrolled from July 2021 to October 2022 and underwent [F]FDG PET/CT and [Ga]Ga-FAPI-04 PET/MR within 5 days. Twenty patients underwent [F]FDG PET/MR at once completing [F]FDG PET/CT for consistency checking.

In secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) disease, preoperatively localizing hyperplastic parathyroid glands is crucial in the surgical procedure. These glands can be detected via the dual-modality imaging technique single-photon emission computed tomography/computed tomography (SPECT/CT) since it has high sensitivity and provides an accurate location. However, due to possible low-uptake glands in SPECT images, manually labeling glands is challenging, not to mention automatic label methods.

Methods: In vivo experiment: Rats were randomly divided into blank control group and hepatic fibrosis group. During the entire trial, the blank control group received subcutaneous injection of normal saline, while in the hepatic fibrosis group received injections of 50% CCl4-olive oil subcutaneously for 10 weeks to establish the rat model of liver fibrosis.
Background: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an aggressive subtype of breast cancer and is susceptible to develop gemcitabine (GEM) resistance. Decreased expression of human equilibrative nucleoside transporter 1 (hENT1) accompanied by compensatory increase of glycolysis is strongly associated with GEM resistance in TNBC. In this study, we investigated the treatment feasibility of combined hENT1 upregulation and miR-143-mediated inhibition of glycolysis for reversing GEM resistance in TNBC.

A 61-year-old man was hospitalized for suspected cardiac amyloidosis. 99mTc-Pyrophosphate scintigraphy showed intense radiotracer uptake in the heart compared with the ribs, suggestive of transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis. Subsequent genetic test showed missense mutations in the transthyretin gene, which confirmed the diagnosis.

Gemcitabine (GEM) chemotherapy, as the first-line regimen for pancreatic cancer, tends to induce drug resistance, which ultimately worsens the prognosis of patients with pancreatic cancer. Our previous study indicated a close correlation between pancreatic cancer progression and glucose metabolism, especially at the chemoresistant stage, highlighting the importance of the application of F-FDG PET dual-phase imaging in the early detection of pancreatic cancer. We speculate that glycolysis, participates in the development of chemoresistance in pancreatic cancer.
